Dharshan Rangegowda, a former principal lead developer of Microsoft’s Azure Cloud platform, had a passion for cloud computing and saw the future of enterprise rising to the cloud. He discovered many businesses were hesitant to move their on-premise databases to a cloud network, and wanted to bring all of the benefits of cloud hosting to the market without compromising the security requirements of on-premise datacenters.

ScaleGrid was founded and graduated from the AngelPad incubator in 2012 where they launched the first private cloud management solution that lets you run both public cloud and on-premise from a single platform.
